Art Enrichment Tuesday's
OPEN TO ALL SEABROOK RESIDENTS!
AET's (Art Enrichment Tuesday's are held in the Eagles Nest Studio of the Lake House Facility on Seabrook Island. The Studio is a well-designed site with excellent cross-lighting and seating for classes, demos and workshops.
On scheduled Tuesday's, AET's will feature artists who will lead a Session on art topics or art medium experiences. There are no charges for the Event, but a small charge for cost of supplies, if applicable, will be posted prior to the Event.
To join a Session, please email the instructor and let them know you want to come. Details will be provided to you!

02/11/25 - Jose Rafols - Presentation on Johns Singer Sargent's, Madame X "The Scandal of Paris!" Jose will offer a talk and slide presentation of how one elegant painting in the city of lights, caused such a Parisian Uproar!

03/04/25 - Gary Kunkelman -"Basics of Drawing the Figure". Gary will help a beginner or those of us who could benefit from a refresher on translating the figure to paper.

04/22/25 - Brenda Tilson - "Exploring the Techniques of Pastels". Pastels are not paints and they are not inks or graphites. They are, a wonderful medium that with an understanding of shading, washing and application techniques, might be just what you are looking for in your own artwork pursuits! A small fee for materials will be announced soon.

05/13/25 - Monique Boissier Sporn -"The Basic Elements of Watercolor!" A Session where Monique will go over basic elements used to work in WC (paper, paint, brushes) and basic techniques (wet on wet, dry on dry, glazing, graduated wash etc). For anyone interested or curious about WC or tried the medium and became frustrated!
Possible additional Sessions for anyone interested in practicing and painting!

We will be shortly be scheduling AET's, with qualified artists who will offer their observations and thoughts for other artists looking for input and critiques, at whatever stage of their artwork. A Great opportunity to gain some insights on your artwork!
Note: Each artist who offers critiques and input are themselves frequently reaching out to other artists to obtain input and critiques on their very own artworks.
